Het Springendal (8km)
Beautiful nature reserve direct at (Dutch-sized) moraine, directly north of Ootmarsum. Artsy seepage ponds, waterfalls and small creeks in the middle of the forest give the scenery a bit of a romantic touch. Hills, countryside, moorlands and historical farms are the finishing touches. There are marked hiking routes at the reserve.
Dal van Mosbeek (5km)
Dal van Mosbeek lies in the north-east of Twente. Hills and (small) valleys are the main highlights. The varied landscape and rich flora and fauna make the Dal van Mosbeek an ideal place for hikers and nature lovers in general.
De Manderheide (5km)
The area is the last part of the heath that barely a century ago formed the connection between the heights of the low-lying swampy Ootmarsum Engbertsdijksvenen.
